Pattern Highlights:

This pattern uses US crochet terminology.

Level of difficulty: Intermediate to Advanced.

Skills: To complete this project, you must know the basics of the Amigurumi technique, such as single crochet stitches in continuous rounds, yarn color changes, finishing off, stuffing, and weaving in yarn ends. As well as how to read patterns in US crochet terms.

This crochet Frankenstein pattern is worked from the bottom up. But first, you crochet the arms and ears, set them aside, and attach them with the crochet hook as you go. Then, you crochet the wig and embroider the mouth and body scars.

Approximate amount of yarn needed:

  • Green yarn: 3.21 oz (91 g), or 150 yds (137 m).

  • Black yarn: 0.70 oz (20 g) or 33 yds (30 m).

Finished Project Size:

The size of this crochet Frankenstein will be approximately 9 ¼” (23.5 cm) tall.

2. Make sure the right sides of the circles are facing forward.
Complete the sc st as usual.
3. Repeat with the second ear. Continue without cutting the yarn to finish the head.
